My Process

Empathy and curiosity

When designing a product, simple or complex, I always seek to gather insights into the representative user’s motivations, relevant environments, needs, and pain points. It's a delight connecting with people, taking in new perspectives, and working to solve their problems.

Breadth of methodologies

Research and design are two very messy processes (see image below). Depending on the perceived problem, I determine a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods, such as interviews and usability testing, to gather insights into the problem and user. Through synthesis, I pull data-backed, prioritized, and actionable solutions. Depending on the client, I have the pleasure of acting on my own recommendations and provide redesigned, tested screens and/or InVision prototypes.
